All You Need To Know About Seed Cycling!

! If you’re looking for a natural way to cure your hormonal balance, then seed cycling is the one for you. Not only does seed cycling balance your hormones, but it also provides a cure to multiple health problems like acne, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), infertility, and cure symptoms of menopause.

It is considered a safe method because it provides maximum benefit from four seeds, namely;

  • Pumpkin and Flax Seeds
  • Sesame and Sunflower Seeds.

These seeds provide nutrients, fatty acids, and phytoestrogens that aid in healing the body. It is also known to benefit hair health, improve thyroid levels, weight loss, and water retention.

Let’s see how Seed Cycling Works!

How does it Work?

FIRST PHASE 1-14 DAYS:

Normally, during the first 14 days of the follicular phase, estrogen production takes place. Along with estrogen production, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) also increase before ovulation. However, these estrogen levels drop right after the ovulation phase is completed.

SECOND PHASE 15-28 DAYS:

The next phase, named the luteal phase, starts right after the egg is released (ovulation phase). Both progesterone and estrogen levels rise in a balanced manner to support implantation. However, if no implantation occurs, the levels of progesterone and estrogen decrease.

Causes of Hormonal Imbalance:

Hormonal imbalance may occur in certain health conditions like PCOS, hypothyroidism, or increased or decreased weight. Seed cycling helps people with hormonal disturbances in increasing or decreasing their estrogen levels as needed.

How to Start Seed Cycling?

The general rule is to eat 2 tbsp. of seeds daily. There are dozens of ways you can eat them. You can either eat them directly or mix them into different foods as required. Many women combine’ seeds with omega-3 fish oil to double the effects of seeds.

Phase 1: Follicular Phase

The first phase is the follicular phase that goes on for about 14 days, starting from the first day of your period towards the point where you begin ovulating. A high estrogen level is required during this period to support implantation.

PUMPKIN SEEDS AND FLAX SEEDS:

Pumpkin seeds and flax seeds are the best seeds given in this phase due to their estrogen-promoting properties. Pumpkin and flax seeds are rich in essential fatty acids and multiple nutrients, including zinc and selenium, which are considered as the building blocks for these hormones. For 14 days, take 1 tbsp—each of both pumpkin and flax seeds.

*Make sure to eat the exact amount of 1 tbsp each to achieve a therapeutic response.

Progesterone is known to ease out the symptoms related to PMS, such as insomnia, bloating, and mood swings.

SESAME SEEDS AND SUNFLOWER SEEDS:

Sesame seeds and sunflower seeds are known to be beneficial during this phase. Eat 1 tbsp. each of the sunflower and sesame seeds during the luteal phase shall be consumed.

The lignans and essential fatty acids present in sunflower and sesame seeds are responsible for supporting the hormones involved in the luteal phase.
